Food Emergency

Student Care and Well-Being offers resources available to students facing an emergency through food insecurity. Review the information below to learn how we can help you access food in a time of need.

If you are interested in donating meals or otherwise supporting a student that is experiencing food insecurity, visit the Support BamaCares page.

“Got Meals” Meal Donation Program

The “Got Meals” meal donation program allows students the opportunity to apply for a meal allotment in times of need. Meal allotments are generally limited to twice per semester. If you require additional meals after your allotment has been used, please set up an appointment with one of our case managers. If you would like to request meals through the “Got Meals” program, please complete a Food Assistance Request by clicking on the Food Assistance Request button below.

Food Pantry

Student Care and Well Being operates a food pantry to support our students.  Please limit requests to use the pantry to once per week to allow our staff to help as many students as possible.  If you would like to request food from the pantry, please complete a Food Assistance Request by clicking on the button below.

If you have questions about any of our programs, or you would like to discuss other resources that may be available on campus or in the Tuscaloosa Community, please contact a case manager at 205-348-2461 or bamacares@ua.edu.
